On the Day

When do we play?

PBTP is run Saturday the 4th of Feb 2023. The event will begin with registration opening in the morning with the first game kicking off depending on the tides. There will be multiple pools lining the edge of the Pier – it will be important to take note of where your team is playing.

Where do we play?

The tournament will be run on the Portsea Pier.

Who can enter?

The day consists of four round robins: Men’s Challenge (SL1-4), A Social Competition (SL4-SL8) and a Women’s competition.

What does entry include?

Registration fees include entry into the round robin plus dinner and a drink at the presentation, and a T-Shirt.

What happens on the day?

All teams must sign in at the registration tent 30 minutes before their first game.

Matches will consist of 2 x 10 minute halves, with a 4 minute half time break. 

Teams must be at the marshaling area on the pier 5 minutes before their scheduled game 

Refereeing & scoring of games will be arranged by the team managers from the previous game. Referees need to be competent and fair, scorers need to be vigilant. 

Finalists will be announced on the afternoon of the day.  

When is the presentation?

The presentation will be at the end of the day, held at the Sorrento Bowls Club. At the presentation dinner, tokens will be handed out to all players for their meal. Dinner will be available once the presentation is complete.
